Pet parents usually begin to worry when their loyal companion needs to have surgery. At our hospital, we understand why you may be worried about your cat or dog's upcoming procedure as surgery can be unpredictable. To minimize the possibility of any complications, our team follows strict protocols to keep your loyal companion safe.

How is surgery made safe for my cat or dog?

Before any procedure that uses anesthesia, our team will perform pre-anesthetic blood testing. Running blood tests can detect underlying health issues that may cause anesthesia complications. The blood test will also reveal the state of important organs such as the kidney which metabolizes the drug. If the results show anything that is a cause for concern, we will treat your cat or dog and reschedule the surgery.

During the procedure we use modern monitoring equipment to know how your canine or feline companion is handling the surgery. We keep tabs on their heart rate, temperature, blood pressure and their oxygen levels. Our equipment will alert us if any of their vital signs begin to fail. Apart from our equipment, our veterinarians have special knowledge and training on how to safely carry out various procedures.

What surgeries are performed at your hospital?

At the moment, we offer spays and neuters, dental surgery, orthopedic and abdominal surgeries. If your pet requires other procedures, our team can recommend hospitals or specialists who provide those surgeries.

How can I care for my cat or dog post-op?

Aftercare is an integral part of your loyal companion's recovery. To ensure your cat or dog is comfortable during their recovery, our team will prescribe pain medications. We will also schedule follow-up exams to keep tabs on their healing. Here are some tips on how to care for your canine or feline pal after surgery:

  1. Monitor their temperature.
  2. Administer their medication as prescribed even if they seem to be doing well.
  3. Keep their incision clean and dry to prevent infection.
  4. Allow your cat or dog to rest.
